We’ve gathered some of our favorite things to do around Clearwater Beach and the St. Pete area. Peruse them all and see which ones belong on your itinerary.

Area Beaches

Beaches are like snowflakes in that no two are exactly alike. Winter the Dolphin Beach Club is situated on lively and social Clearwater Beach. But you may wish to explore other stretches of sand. We hope you do! For example, Madeira Beach (aka “Mad Beach”) has a beach boardwalk with shopping and restaurants galore. Fort De Soto Park has picnic pavilions and kayak rentals. Caladesi Island

Glide over the waters of St. Joseph Sound to one of Florida’s few all-natural islands. Swim and sunbathe along the unspoiled beaches, hike the trails, kayak through mangroves, and take a shady picnic break.

  • Fishing off the boat

Fishing & Boating

Everything is more exciting when you’re floating on the water. From pirate cruises on an authentic ship to spearfishing on a 45-foot yacht to cruising aboard a three-masted schooner, aquatic options are not lacking here.

  • Pier

Sunsets on Pier 60

Gather at dusk on Pier 60, where celebrating the sinking sun is a nightly event complete with musicians and performers. The 1,080-foot pier is also home to playgrounds, a café, and outdoor movies in the summer.

Our neighbor to the east, Tampa, is jam-packed with urban fun, including the Glazer Children’s Museum, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Zoo Tampa, shopping, culture, and more.
